FIREARMS LICENSING APPOINTMENTS have been SUSPENDED. Appointments previously scheduled on or after March 17, 2020 have been cancelled.
RECORDS REQUESTS must be made via telephone or email. In person requests and pick-ups have been SUSPENDED. To request records, please contact our records division via telephone at (508) 763-4017 EXT. 2 or via email at disp1.fpd@comcast.net.
The members of the Freetown Police Department and Freetown Communications Center remain committed to the community during this public health emergency.
Chief Abbott has directed and encouraged all officers and dispatchers to practice good hand hygiene, disinfect common areas and equipment, practice social distancing, and to stay home if they develop flu like symptoms.
In addition, when practical, officers are encouraged to conduct response outdoors. As a result, officers may distance themselves from individuals during calls for service or ask individuals to come outside to better assist in practicing social distancing. This will decrease the exposure to our officers and the public.
Members of the community are encouraged to remain informed by visiting the following local, state, and government resources: www.freetownma.gov, www.mass.gov/covid19, and www.cdc.gov.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
